Auf meinem Plattenteller dreht sich wieder und wieder die brandneue Scheibe einer heißen Band, die sich Serious Smoking nennt. Musik und Text kommen mir sehr bekannt vor, aber ich vermag diese Klänge doch nicht recht einzuordnen. In der Besetzung Dave Chesterfield (kb), Hugh Smokewall (g, voc), Lux Filter (dr) und Peer Export (b) bringen sie eine aufregend neue Interpretation bekannter Rock 'n' Roll Klischees. Tja, das aufregende Debüt einer Band, das meine Boxen qualmen läßt. Ich bin schon gespannt, mit welchen Kommentaren zur Zeit dieses Quartett die Langeweile noch ausräuchern wird.
